B-PHOT Student Chapter

A day of networking with industry and soft skills in Brussels

This was the Photonics Networking Event 2023! Our students gathered at the VUB Main Campus in Brussels to connect with industry leaders and followed some interesting workshops on CV writing and creative thinking!

The strong link with the industry is a unique aspect of the Master of Science in Photonics Engineering. We focus on connecting academia and companies to ensure our students can apply their theoretical and practical knowledge to real-life situations!

The master students joined three interactive group demo sessions with experts from Caeleste, the Royal Observatory of Belgium, and Aerospacelab. After a networking moment with these companies, professors and students, we hosted two workshops: a career guidance workshop by the VUB Career Center and a creative thinking workshop by Dirk De Boe (Creashock).
