COLLABORATION
AGREEMENTS
Discover the different collaboration schemes in our Master of Science in Photonics Engineering. Study Photonics in Belgium in combination with a specific Bachelor or Master Programme.
3+2 Bachelor-Master combination
Students can enrol after their third year of a (4-year) Bachelor into the Photonics programme and are awarded:
- a Bachelor degree from their home university
- A Master of Science degree in Photonics from UGent-VUB (after year two)
4+1 Bachelor-Master combination
Students can enrol after their fourth year of their Bachelor and finish the Photonics programme in one year (due to credits earned in their fourth year of BSc). They are awarded:
- A Master of Science degree in Photonics from UGent-VUB (after year one)
1+1 Dual Master
Students follow one year at each location. Preferably spending their first year at the home university and the second year at the partner university. They are awarded:
- A Master of Science degree in Photonics from the home university (after year two)
- A Master of Science degree in Photonics from VUB-UGent (after year two)
1+1+1 Dual Master
Students spend their first master year at the home university, followed by a second year at VUB or UGent and return to the home university to finalise their thesis in year three. They are awarded:
- A Master of Science degree in Photonics from the home university (after year three)
- A Master of Science degree in Photonics from UGent-VUB (after year three)
